Quote - "Chance of people giving way to you is inversely proportionate to you walking speed"

popped by some very interesting blogs along the way online today and i've awarded a honorable mention to this investigation cum discovery by this blogger who posted his hypothesis. he had one and only one comment for this article and it said - "LAME". well.. i don't think it's that lame anyway, in fact, intriguing! haha.. i've never thought of this cos' it has never bothered me. anyway, the results: when u're walking in a crowded area, ever wonder why ppl sometimes give way to u, while others dun? Note dat The Chances of ppl giving way to u is Inversely Proportional to your walking speed. Makes sense? if u're running against a flow of traffic, u'll realise u're doing the avoiding instead of ppl. but if u're almost standing still, most ppl will give way, since there's no point trying to move against your walking lane. i think it's quite true... ha.

Story - What's Wrong With America And France

Online surfing really brings much insight after a good night's sleep! I was about to start a new design for Realize Creations but ended up in google and then somehow came across some instruction on my friend's blog which said: Type 'French Military Victories' into Google and hit "I'm feeling lucky". For even more fun, then click on what it suggests... got into some laughs after that. but i went on futher and realize that some how america and france wasn't in very good terms now - you probably know - and there were more amusing political humour around... like they change what was "french fries" to "freedom fries" ; Swiss army knife to Fench army knife ; and the rejected statue of liberty . that's... interestingly funny... =)

Story - Religious Societies Go Mobile

First it was a Muslim phone, then now it's a Christian SMS Bible. The new Muslim phone in the market could actually set reminders for prayer times to even point in the direction of Mecca with some GPS system. But the other groups n the region is not slacking. Some member of the Bible Society in Australia had translated all the verses in the Bible to SMS format and lingo so that people could send some little encouragements to their loved ones.

Story - Westernization? No. Globalisation, Easternisation.

After mentioning how some people can claim they have been respecting a religion for all these while, can suddenly say it's starting to contradict their beliefs... But, still they are those who try all they can to spread their beliefs using self-help, blogs and the lastest, podcasts ! Follow the links to see how westerners spread eastern ideas. They even mentioned in their podcast that students at their university can minor in "World Peace" how great?! ha...

Quote - "Life Sucks, According to Buddhists"

I was surfing once again.. and as usual i always stumble upon things that are new, interesting and full of excitement and life . Today, i found this line, and i quote its title: " Life Sucks, According to Buddhists ". I never once dared to write about religious stuff even though i'm full of it - the negate of it - to be exact. Simply because i try so hard NOT to appear to criticise and thus causing religious unhappiness that may flame into riots... (WAH.. haha.. i not so li hai lah)... So many peeps around me are christians either their whole life, up till now, or once upon a time, except myself. So i do have lots to talk about Christ. Taosim is also something very interesting but often neglected be many contemporary thinkers. Buddhism is my favourite.. cos it deals with a lot of human nature and philosophies, but then again, people these days don't see eye to eye with Siddhartha Gautama's discovery about the dreadful lives people are going through. Never had the ...
